A Write & Shine morning event about writing, creativity and uncertainty. Watch Sydney-based author and founder of disabled-led arts organisation Outlandish Arts, Gaele Sobott in conversation with Write & Shine’s Gemma Seltzer discussing how to write of the challenging times we’re living through. Gaele talks about the role uncertainty plays in our writing and how embracing discomfort is an inherent part of the creative process. This was presented in partnership with live literature organisation Speaking Volumes UK to celebrate its new anthology 'Not Quite Right for Us' (Flipped Eye, 2021). Gaele was one of the 40 contributors to this wonderful collection of new writing on experiences of outsiderness, and defiance against it. (Apologies, the very beginning of the event was not recorded).
