FIRE VIRTUAL REALITY INSTALLATION: BASIL SELLERS EXHIBITION CENTRE, MORUYA

FIRE is a multiple art form installation that uses game engine software to create a virtual reality (VR) experience from 360-degree footage of the burnt forests filmed on the south coast of New South Wales in February 2020.

“The project centres on our interdependence on other human beings and all matter in this world. As disabled people we want a say in the future, we want to join with other oppressed communities that we intersect with and lead through our art. Develop new ideas, contribute to determining action around the ongoing climate and other capitalist crises. Our survival depends on collective work, on building grassroots solidarity and self-transformation.” Gaele Sobott
